I can’t imagine working in a field more fulfilling than dentistry. Being of service to people is pretty inspiring on its own, but when someone needs your help and you're able to provide a service to help that individual, I see this a privilege. I'm fortunate to be able to work in a field that allows me to experience this privilege every day.
Having the skills and knowledge to relieve people of pain is one of the most exciting parts of my job. It’s what inspired me to become a dentist to start with! I had a terrific experience at a dentist when I was in high school, when I was in more pain that I had ever been in and very scared. The dentist was awesome and I had instant pain relief. It changed the trajectory of my life and career!
To begin my journey to dentistry, I attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND, where I earned my Bachelor's in Biology with minors in chemistry, philosophy, and theology. I continued to Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine in Glendale, AZ, where I earned my Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Since graduating, I have continued my education by participating in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry fellowship program in dental implants, as well as in orthodontics and craniofacial orthopedics through the American Orthodontic Society. I also stay up to date on emerging technology and techniques through my memberships in the:
- American Dental Association
- North Dakota Dental Association
- Southeast District Dental Society
- Heartland Study Club
I grew up in Bismarck and now reside in Fargo with my wife Holly and our three children, Colton, Elaina, and Christian. When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with family, tending to projects around the house, and just about anything outdoors. I’m also fascinated by technology and AI!
